For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
– Jeremiah 29:11
This weekend has been packed full of answers for me. Most that I didn’t want to hear but that I need to accept to help me grow.
But here is my thing, what happens when the answer is not what you want to hear? When it is not what you expected? When the answer is not yet to what you have yearned for, for so long and was sure the answer was yes?
How will you react?
Will you reject the answer and cry about it saying how it’s not fair?
Will you accept it and try to figure out why and what you need change?
Sometimes we think we are ready for the things that are in store for us but we aren’t.
We need to grow, we need to learn, we need to build character so that when we receive what we have been asking for we don’t ruin it.
Have you ever heard the saying “A good thing at the wrong time is the wrong thing”? Well, it’s true.
Don’t be sad or angry but use gthe answer to grow, to change, to become more of the person you are meant to be.
Think about a question that you have asked for recently which the answer was not what you wanted hear?
Now think about why that might be. Truthfully ask yourself “Would I really have been ready for that?” if not(which is probably the answer) think about why. Then write down what you can start doing to change that, to grow, to become that person.
Keep On Living!!
